Each job runs the full fruit-fly connectome, 166,700 neurons and 25 million synapses, for 15 simulated seconds and records what the motor neurons do. Checked work earns points; each month a $FLYAI pool is split by points.

On a phone, mining runs only while this tab is on screen, so the screen stays on while you mine. Plug in, use Wi-Fi for the 57 MB download, and expect it to slow down when the phone gets warm.

Staking boosts your points, not your speed: jobs/min stays the same, but each day's points are multiplied by your tier, so you get a bigger share of the monthly pool. New stake counts from the next day (00:00 UTC), because a day uses the lowest stake you held during it.

Jobs drive one eye or touch channel and count what the fly's motor neurons do. Together they map which senses move the fly, at which settings.
The brain runs in exact integer maths, so any GPU or CPU gives the same spikes. Some jobs are re-run on the server, and a wrong answer zeroes your day.
